The northeast was walloped by a massive winter storm on Thanksgiving Day in 1950. High winds, heavy snow and icy temps made their way through the Great Lakes region, then moved over to the Carolinas and up the east coast before shifting inland again through Maryland, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
