Compost unusable food and dead plants
There’s no reason to waste food these days, even if it’s spoiled. And that goes for dead plants, too. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, nearly 30 percent of what we throw away is food scraps and yard waste, all of which can be composted.
Composting spoiled food, dead plants, and food scraps instead of trashing them will help the global overfilled landfill crisis and reduce the amount of methane released from landfills.
