Choose rugs wisely
When you have a pet, you should expect that they can soil certain objects in your house, so you have to be prepared for anything. This is why you should opt for durable fabrics, such as washable rugs instead of hard-to-clean carpeting.
“Ideally, you should have areas in your home that have pet friendly flooring for easy cleanups,” Musur says. “During the potty training phase of puppyhood, there will be inherit mishaps.”
Musur was ready for a new pet because she “used one of our outdoor area rugs that can be thrown in the wash and line-dried.”
