Secure your lower cabinets
In general, dogs have many behavioral traits similar to children, as they tend to have the same careless behavior when they are young and require a lot of care and attention from their parents.
“Puppies can be pretty creative if they want to get into a cabinet,” says Bloom, who says to put child-proof locks on your lower kitchen cabinets and to keep food high up and out of reach. “So no leaving food on the coffee tables!” she says.
You should choose noninvasive magnetic locks or latches that can be installed inside the cabinet. They don’t look stylish at all, so they should be set inside the cabinet.
