Day one: act like a guest and share the tasks

According to home experts, if you want to clean your house properly and prepare it for Thanksgiving, you should create a cleaning plan and complete it in advance. So, for this task, you have to act as one of your guests and notice the things that are more likely to be touched or seen by them, such as your plants (are there any dead leaves?), the entryway hall, bathroom and so on.

After this, it’s important to share the cleaning tasks with other family members because many hands make light work.

Day two: take action and clean those visible areas

Once you have finished acting as your guests, you need to take action and clean up these areas. First and foremost, you should focus more on certain areas that are not likely to get dirty again (or at least until Thanksgiving).

For example, wash your windows properly, clean your baseboards, wash your window and shower curtains and of course your bedspreads.
