
Emmitt Smith
Emmitt Smith is an American former professional football player. He was a running back for 15 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Dallas Cowboys. A three-time Super Bowl champion with the club, Smith is regarded as the league’s all-time leading rusher.
In 2010, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, as well as into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006. He played 13 seasons with the Cowboys and 2 with the Arizona Cardinals, but in 2005 he announced his retirement.
However, after his retirement, Smith decided to become a real estate developer, so he teamed up with Roger Staubach to form Smith/Cypress Partners LP, a real estate development company specializing in turning underutilized parcels into commercially viable properties.
During this time, he closed a $45 million deal with a California-based department store chain. In 2014, he also co-founded ESmith Legacy, a real estate development and asset management company. In addition to this, he also founded two other companies in this field.
