Integrate Textures
In a bedroom, the comfort zone is given by sheets and their textures. The texture of the sheets should be a furry throw during winter and cotton throw in the summer.
To create a traditional style it is good to use hand-tufted rugs, woven wools, tooled silver, cut crystal, gilded frames and polished wood. Also, for a modern look you could use laminated-plywood furniture, plastic, smooth leather, stainless steel.
