Countertop Spice Racks
There are a few reasons to skip those shiny countertop racks of spices. First, they hog valuable real estate. Second, half of the containers are usually filled with spices you don’t use. Third, and perhaps most importantly, spices degrade when they’re exposed to light and heat.
Keep them in a dark, dry pantry or drawer to maintain quality – and since they’re out of sight, it’s no biggie to keep them in their original containers.
