Monumental sterling silver wine cooler: $1.6 million
The original model of this wine cooler was crafted by German silversmith Charles Frederick Kandler. It now sits in the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, Russia.
It was made in the 20th century and is one of around 200 examples of English silver to be reproduced in Russia. At 54 inches wide and 48 inches tall, there is plenty of room for a couple of champagne magnums, perfect if you’ve also bought your own vineyard.
