Dead Batteries
Experts suggest you are twice as likely to die in a house fire in a property that has no smoke alarm. But, once installed, how often do you test your fire and smoke detector and change its batteries? An easy way to remember is by testing every time the clocks change.
For optimum safety, change the batteries at least once per year and buy a completely new smoke alarm every 10 years.
