Lots of buyers and homeowners are over safe, expected choices such as white subway tile, marble, or travertine tile. Now, experts say they’re seeing a rise in wood-look tile, concrete tile, smaller mosaics, and tile with lots of color.
“Out are the big blocky tiles, and we’re seeing smaller tiles replacing them in herringbone-style patterns for backsplashes, and handcrafted European and Arabic-inspired tiles on bath floors for added dimension,” Realtor Michelle Mumoli says.
