Cleaning the dryer
Thick sweaters, sweatshirts, scarves or any fluffy jacket can leave lint in the dryer. If the dryer outlet is blocked, then a fire may occur.
According to Jason Kapica, the President of Dryer Vent Wizard says: “As lint collects within the dryer exhaust system, it can back up into the clothes dryer itself,” he explains. “The dryer can then overheat and cause a fire.”
