Clean your microwave
Now that we know how effective the microwave is in killing the sponge bacteria, it’s time to learn how to clean it as well. This time you can opt for a steam clean method, which involves heating a bowl of water for five minutes.
According to Justin Carpenter, owner of house cleaning service Tucson Maids, “clean your microwave without scrubbing by putting a bowl of hot water inside and setting it to 5 minutes.”
Not only is it one of the easiest cleaning methods out there, but it is also effective. The explanation is that the steam loosens the grime deposited in your microwave, making it much easier for you to clean it with a microfiber cloth.
