Focus on the entryway
One of the most important places in the home to consider is the entryway. And in the winter months, when you need a place to kick off your snowy boots, it’s that much more pivotal, says Debbie Gartner.
“Create a comfortable area to take your boots and shoes off,” she says. “A comfy bench with cushions will do the trick. Make sure there is a place to put your shoes, and have warm slippers that your guests can use.”
