You can use glass cleaner for everything, right? Wrong, says Jack Prenter.
“Products like Windex are incredibly harsh because they contain ammonia. When used on your TV or other devices, they can strip away the upper layer of the screen, causing bubbling, liquid damage, and large marks,” he cautions.
There are specialized screen cleaners, but if you don’t want to spend money on them, you don’t have to. A damp microfiber cloth works just fine, Prenter says.
