Cleome

Cleome is a genus of flowering plants in the family Cleomaceae, also known as C. hassleriana ‘White Queen’ that can be easy to grow and rewarding. In addition, you can plant this type of flowers once, because they will come back every year.

According to Jon Carloftis, a landscape designer, Lexington, Kentucky, “to make a big splash in a sunny area, plant cleome. From late June to frost, you’ll have four- to five-inch spiderlike blooms.”

So, if you want to grow Cleome, all you have to do is to plant the seeds in the chosen location. In this sense, you can opt for both full sun or partial shade areas. Yet, these plants don’t need any particular type of soil or fertilizer. They are also drought tolerant and hold up well during the scorching heat.
